Fox News thinks transgender Elders do not deserve Nursing Home care.

I told you. I told you these cretins were never just about "protecting the kids." Now look. If you're not incandescent with rage, you're not paying attention. What reputable news organization would even think such vile garbage, let alone spew it live on air? Fox News, that’s who. This past Saturday, May 17th, on their "Big Weekend Show," four anchors had the gall to declare that America's transgender elders are a "threat" and don't belong with other people in nursing homes. A threat? The sheer, unadulterated audacity! This isn't just immoral or unethical; it’s pure, hateful BS from a pack of callous, ignorant fools.

The cruelty from these idiots is a bottomless pit.

This disgusting sideshow from Fox News is just the latest slap in the face after decades of transgender Americans fighting, bleeding, and dying for basic dignity and recognition. We’ve given our all for this country, only to have gutter-crawling media like Fox News paint us—our elders—as threats.

Let me tell you who I am. I’m a 66-year-old transgender veteran. I served this nation in the Navy and the Marines. I raised four children. I have eight grandchildren who are the future of this same America. My life is one of service, sacrifice, and unwavering strength, just like thousands of other transgender veterans. And this is our reward? To be slandered as dangers in the very places we should find peace? To have our commitment spat upon by fearmongers inciting hatred against us in our final years?

And don’t think for a second this is just about transgender veterans. This is America’s shameful signature: betraying those who serve it. Black veterans cheated out of GI Bill benefits. Disabled service members wrestling for crumbs of healthcare. Our nation has a disgusting track record of scapegoating and discarding its own. We are just the latest to be kicked, denied dignity, and treated as if the freedoms we fought to defend don’t apply to us.

Let me be absolutely, unequivocally clear: this fearmongering is a bald-faced lie. A THREAT? We are parents, grandparents, friends! We’ve stared down discrimination that would make these Fox News cowards crumble. We’ve weathered storms of hate, battled for our very existence, and still we stand, contributing to the society that so often tries to erase us.

The real issue? It’s the damn gall of denying transgender veterans the same support, care, and fundamental respect every other American, every other veteran, is OWED. We face enough goddamn barriers to healthcare, housing, and community. Nursing and retirement homes should be sanctuaries, not hunting grounds for bigots fueled by manufactured fear.

This fight isn’t new, and it isn’t ours alone. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with every marginalized group forced to scream for the recognition this country should give freely. Our struggles are knotted together in a shared demand for justice.

So let them spew their poison. I REFUSE to let their hate define us. Transgender veterans are not your scapegoats, not your threats. We are woven into the very fabric of this nation. We have EARNED the right to age with dignity, to find peace, to be seen in our full humanity – not as the phantoms their ignorance and malice seek to create.

Enough of the lies. Enough of the fear. America, you have a damn obligation to all your citizens, and you sure as hell have an obligation to the veterans who fought for you. It's long past time you honored it.
